VERN YIP CONTINUES TO GIVE BACK IN THIRD SEASON OF HGTV'S DESERVING DESIGN BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, JULY 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT

Knoxville, Tenn. [July 2, 2008] - Designer and architect Vern Yip goes straight to the heart of the matter with inspiring stories and captivating designs that transform people's lives during the third season of HGTV's Deserving Design. In the new season, airing Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Vern will continue to give a much-needed break to families who are going through difficult times, homeowners who give selflessly to their communities and individuals who are trying to overcome personal obstacles.

In each new episode, Vern will share the moving and empowering story of one deserving household and redesign a room of their choice. Featured stories include:

A couple who has taken in over 60 foster children and adopted six kids--many of whom are special needs children--gets help with their family room.

A young woman who was diagnosed with advanced metastatic breast cancer and given only three months to live, purchases a condo five years later and needs some design assistance.

An eco-conscious young couple who devotes time to students and families in need seeks Vern's expertise.
