ABC HOSTS "PUSHING DAISIES" PIE HOLE PIE EATING CONTEST AT THE ORANGE COUNTY FAIR

Cast Members Field Cate and Sammi Hanratty to Appear at the Fair Friday, July 11

ABC is hosting a "Pushing Daisies" Pie Hole pie eating contest at the Orange County Fair for 13 nights, beginning July 11. Each night ten participants will wear a "Pushing Daisies" Pie Hole-themed bib and compete for a special prize. On Friday, July 11 cast members Field Cate (Young Ned) and Sammi Hanratty (Young Chuck) will be in attendance at the Fair, participating in festivities and signing autographs. In addition, there will be a comedic emcee hosting the evening, with street team members handing out "Pushing Daisies"-themed items.

ABOUT PUSHING DAISIES

From Bryan Fuller ("Heroes") and Barry Sonnenfeld ("Men in Black") comes an unprecedented blend of romance, crime procedural and high-concept fantasy in a forensic fairytale about a young man with a very special gift. Once upon a time, a mild-mannered boy named Ned realized he could touch dead things and bring them back to life. Life would be perfect for Ned and Chuck, except for one cruel twist: If he ever touches her again, she'll go back to being dead, this time for good.

Golden Globe nominee Lee Pace ("The Good Shepherd," "Soldier's Girl"), Golden Globe nominee Anna Friel ( "Goal" film series, " upcoming "Land of the Lost,"), Chi McBride ("The Nine," "Boston Public"), Tony nominee Ellen Greene ("Little Shop of Horrors"), Emmy and Tony winner Swoosie Kurtz ("Huff," "Sisters") and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth ("The West Wing") star in the visually stunning series from Living Dead Guy Productions, the Jinks/Cohen Company, in association with Warner Bros. Television. Tony winner Jim Dale, reader of the "Harry Potter" series of audio books, is the narrator.

In addition to Fuller and Sonnenfeld, Dan Jinks & Bruce Cohen (Academy Award-winning producers of "American Beauty") and Peter Ocko ("Boston Legal," "Dead Like Me") serve as executive producers. In its first season "Pushing Daisies" garnered Directors Guild of America and Gracie Awards, and received Golden Globe, Writers Guild of America and Edgar Award nominations.
