Oscar(R) Nominee Eric Roberts, Jason Gedrick, Barry Bostwick and Chris Warren, Jr. Star in Spike Original Movie 'Depth Charge' Premiering Monday, September 1 at 10 PM

"Depth Charge," A "Spike Guy Movie" To Premiere In HD

NEW YORK, July 28 -- Oscar(R) nominee Eric Roberts ("The Dark Knight"), Jason Gedrick ("Desperate Housewives"), Barry Bostwick ("Spin City") and Chris Warren, Jr. ("High School Musical") star in the Spike original movie, "Depth Charge," premiering on Monday, September 1 from 10 p.m. - 12 midnight (ET/PT) on Spike TV. "Depth Charge" premieres in HD and is slated under the "Spike Guy Movies" umbrella that will air throughout 2008. Spike TV's original "Spike Guy Movies" average nearly 1.5 million viewers each month.

"Depth Charge" is a pulse-pounding action film about a ship's doctor (Gedrick) who must wage an internal war on a US nuclear powered submarine when it is taken over by its very own disgruntled captain (Roberts). On the eve of his retirement, Captain Krieg has staged a coup d'etat on the USS Montana and is threatening to launch a nuclear missile on Washington D.C. if he is not paid a one billion dollar ransom. It seems like a foolproof plan, but Krieg failed to account for Doc, the seemingly harmless ship's doctor who, together with Piersall (Warren, Jr.), intends to take the ship back before the President (Bostwick) must make a very tough decision to destroy the submarine and everyone on it.

RHI Entertainment presents an Alpine Medien Production in association with Larry Levinson Productions and Grand Army Entertainment, LLC. "Depth Charge" is directed by Terrence O'Hara, written by Dennis Pratt and produced by Kyle Clark and Stephen Niver. Robert Halmi, Jr. and Larry Levinson serve as executive producers.

Spike TV is available in 96.1 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. A unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), MTV Networks is one of the world's leading creators of programming and content across all media platforms. Spike TV's Internet address is http://www.spike.com.
