JUDGE JOE BROWN RETURNS FOR 11TH SEASON ON SEPTEMBER 8

Popular syndicated court show moves to Fox's WNYW in New York

HOLLYWOOD, CA - September 3, 2008 - JUDGE JOE BROWN, the #2 rated syndicated court show among a field of 11 on television, begins its 11th season on September 8, 2008.

With the start of the new season, JUDGE JOE BROWN moves from WNBC to WNYW, New York, the Fox owned-and-operated station in the nation's largest market, where it will anchor the station's powerhouse afternoon court block, airing at 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET.

Starting Tuesday, September 9, JUDGE JOE BROWN will introduce "Bad Girls Tuesday," a themed episode that will air every Tuesday. Each show will feature a "Bad Girl" you love to hate, including thieving sisters, scandalous best friends, opportunistic mothers and greedy girlfriends, who will say anything to try to persuade Judge Joe Brown to rule in her favor.

JUDGE JOE BROWN will also add a "Gallery Poll" to the courtroom this season. At a pivotal time in a case, the courtroom audience will be asked to weigh in and vote, using their digital voting devices. The "Gallery Poll" provides instantaneous feedback on whether the litigants' arguments have resonated with the courtroom audience. Viewers at home will be able to see the results on screen.

JUDGE JOE BROWN will continue to integrate testimony and evidence from "Expert Witnesses" into the show to help unravel the complexities of certain cases. Included in the stable of "Expert Witnesses" are: Forensic Document Examiner Rina Salzer, who exposes forgeries; Dr. Melissa A. Tyson, a veterinarian with expertise in large, small and exotic animals, who helps resolve pet disputes; and hairstylist Wendy Norment, founder of 33 North, who gets to the bottom of weaves gone wrong. The team of courtroom experts available to Judge Joe Brown also includes sign language translators, infectious disease experts, flood damage assessors, fire experts and exotic bird behaviorists.

JUDGE JOE BROWN provides audiences with an inside look at real cases involving litigants from across the nation. When they bring cases to his courtroom, litigants are bound by Brown's insightful rulings. He shows litigants unique ways in which they can responsibly deal with their unlawful or wrongful acts, and also forces wrongdoers to reflect on the consequences of their transgressions.
