BIG BOI, FROM GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING RAP DUO OUTKAST, MAKES A SPECIAL GUEST-STARRING APPEARANCE ON NBC'S 'LAW AND ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT ' TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH 10 PM

NEW YORK - November 11, 2008 - Big Boi, from Grammy award-winning Rap Duo OutKast will appear on NBC'S Law and Order:SVU as "Gots Money," a Hip Hop artist involved in an exotic animal smuggling ring under investigation by Detective Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) in the "SVU" episode "Wildlife," airing on NBC Tuesday, November 18 (10pm/ 9pm Central).

In the episode, Detective Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) jeopardizes his marriage when he goes undercover to infiltrate an animal smuggling ring with Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) posing as a prostitute. The case leads the detectives to Hip Hop artist Gots Money (guest star Big Boi), who admits to working for an animal smuggling ring and agrees to go undercover with Detective Stabler to catch the smugglers.

Antwan Andre Patton, also known as Big Boi, makes up one half of the Atlanta-based, Grammy award-winning duo OutKast. With six platinum albums under his belt and two Grammy's for the group's widely praised double album, "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," Big Boi has branched out in recent years into film and television. His film credits include the OutKast musical film "Idlewild," "Who's Your Caddy" and "How 2 Build a Rapper." After Big Boi's groundbreaking Hip Hop Classical ballet "big" which received rave reviews he's begun to prep his debut solo record " Sir Luscious Leftfoot: Son of Chico Dusty" out 2009. Additionally, Big Boi oversees an impressive roster of artists on his own record label, Purple Ribbon Entertainment and founded his own charity, Big Kidz Foundation.

This hard-hitting and emotional series from NBC's "Law & Order" brand chronicles the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York Police Department, the elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes. Created by Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" is now entering its tenth season. The program has received numerous citations from community-based organizations for the social issues it tackles, and the cast members are frequently recognized for the work they do off-screen to promote personal health and safety and other volunteer efforts and initiatives.
