ABC FAMILY PRESENTS THE BASIC CABLE TELEVISION PREMIERES OF "CARS" ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, AT 6:00 PM ET/PT, AND "THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE" ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12 AT 6:00 PM ET/PT

Burbank, CA, November 21, 2008 "CARS" and "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" will both make their basic cable television premieres on ABC Family as part of the network's "25 Days of Christmas" programming event in December.

From the acclaimed creators of "TOY STORY," "THE INCREDIBLES" and "FINDING NEMO" comes "CARS," a high-octane adventure comedy that shows life is about the journey, not the finish line. Hotshot rookie race car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is living life in the fast lane until he hits a detour on his way to the most important race of his life. Stranded in Radiator Springs, a forgotten town on the old Route 66, he meets a snazzy Porsche named Sally (Bonnie Hunt), the wise-cracking tow truck Mater (Larry The Cable Guy), Doc Hudson (Paul Newman), and a variety of quirky characters who help him discover that there's more to life than trophies and fame. "CARS" airs Wednesday, December 3 (6:00 8:30 PM ET/PT).

The magical world of C.S. Lewis' beloved fantasy comes to life in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." This timeless adventure follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblingsLucy (Georgie Henley), Edmund (Skandar Keynes), Susan (Anna Popplewell) and Peter (William Moseley)in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of "hide-and-seek" at the rural estate of a mysterious professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, once peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis (Tilda Swinton). Under the guidance of a noble and mystical ruler, the magnificent lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome Jadis' powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free Narnia from her icy spell forever. "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" airs Friday, December 12 (6:00 9:30 PM ET/PT).

Also making its basic cable television premiere on ABC Family is the animated half-hour holiday special, "A Garfield Christmas," on Tuesday, December 9 (7:00 PM 7:30 PM ET/PT).
