FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS PROMOTION MARKS FUNNY OR DIE'S FIRST FORAY INTO SHOWCASING FULL-LENGTH EPISODIC TELEVISION SERIES

FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS SECOND SEASON OFFICIALLY PREMIERES JANUARY 18 ON HBO

LOS ANGELES, CA (December 15, 2008) HBO will partner with Funny or Die (funnyordie.com) to provide a sneak peek of the first episode from the highly anticipated second season of HBO's Flight of the Conchords. The episode will be available on Funny or Die from Wednesday, December 17th through Sunday, December 21st (http://www.funnyordie.com/flight_of_the_conchords). Flight of the Conchords officially premieres on HBO on Sunday, January 18 at 10:00 PM.

The Flight of the Conchords promotion marks Funny or Die's first foray into showcasing full-length episodic television series. The episode will be portable via codes that allow users to embed and share the episode on blogs, websites, and social networking profiles. In anticipation of the sneak peek on Dec. 17, Funny or Die will feature original and exclusive videos that pay homage to Flight of the Conchords. Fans of the series will also be able to view classic clips from the first season, and the site will feature a new wide screen player made specifically for the episode viewing.

"After the success of last season, we knew that online sampling would be the most effective way to energize the Flight of the Conchords fan base and generate excitement for season two," said Chris Spadaccini, Vice President, Advertising and Promotion, HBO. "Funny or Die has emerged as the go-to destination for great online comedy content and the decision to partner with them to launch the new season was an easy one."

"We are really excited to help launch the second season of 'Flight of the Conchords," said Dick Glover, CEO of Funny or Die and the Or Die Networks. "Funny or Die is where people go online to find the very best in comedy, so it's the perfect place to debut such a smart and funny show."

On December 21st, the first episode of Flight of the Conchords, season two, will become available for online viewing on a variety of additional platforms including HBO.com, iTunes and HBO's YouTube channel.

Flight of the Conchords follows transplanted New Zealanders Jemaine (Jemaine Clement) and Bret (Bret McKenzie), who live on New York City's Lower East Side and split their time between seeking venues where they can perform and awkwardly courting women. Sometimes finding it easier to express themselves with music, they're apt to break into song at a moment's notice. The executive producers of Flight of the Conchords are Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie, James Bobin, Troy Miller and Stu Smiley; co-executive producer, Tracey Baird; consulting producer, Paul Simms.
