CALIFORNIA, HERE THEY COME!

ED WESTWICK, RICK SPRINGFIELD, EMBETH DAVIDTZ & EVA AMURRI TO GUEST STAR ON 3RD SEASON OF SHOWTIME'S CALIFORNICATION

Join Kathleen Turner, Diane Farr & Peter Gallagher as Guest Stars on Season 3, Premiering this fall

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 1, 2009) "Gossip Girl"'s Ed Westwick, rocker Rick Springfield, Embeth Davidtz ("In Treatment") and Eva Amurri (Saved!) will guest star on the third season of SHOWTIME's acclaimed comedy series CALIFORNICATION, which returns for a third season this fall. They join recently announced guest stars Kathleen Turner, Diane Farr and Peter Gallagher. This season, Hank (David Duchovny) will become a professor at a university where he'll attempt to shape the minds of the next generation of scribes while trying to hold down a 'regular' job and keep wild child daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin) on the straight and narrow.

Ed Westwick has garnered an intensely loyal fan base for his work as bad boy 'Chuck Bass' on the hit CW series "Gossip Girl." The UK native starred most recently on the big screen in Son of Ranbow. He'll play 'Balt', a student of Hank's with a fascination for vampire lit in the second episode of the 12-episode third season.

Best known for his decades-long recurring role on the hit daytime drama "General Hospital," Rick Springfield started his career as a singer, quickly garnering a rabid fan base and making him an '80s teen idol. He's released six albums and his 1981 hit song, "Jessie's Girl" earned him a Grammy award. On the small screen, he's starred in series as wide ranging as "The Six Million Dollar Man" to "Suddenly Susan." Springfield will star in at least one episode.

Eva Amurri has made her mark as a young star on the rise. Daughter of Oscar winner Susan Sarandon, Amurri has starred in several feature films, including The Education of Charlie Banks, Saved!, and The Banger Sisters, opposite her mother. Amurri will play a student of Hank's in several episodes.

Seen most recently on last season's "In Treatment", Embeth Davidtz has starred in a wide range of film roles including Matilda, Mansfield Park, and Bridget Jones's Diary. She earned critical acclaim for her role as the art dealer outsider who infiltrates a North Carolina family opposite Amy Adams in Junebug. Davidtz will play 'Felicia Koons', wife of the dean of students (played by Peter Gallagher), in 10 episodes.
