Eight More Cable Originals Set for Summer

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- TLC, History, Animal Planet, Showtime, Fox Reality and the Travel Channel all shot up summer programming flares over the weekend.

Said announcements include two series premieres and six return dates:

-- Fox Reality will launch "Re-Inventing Bonaduce" and "Sex Decoy: Love Stings" on Saturday, May 23 at 9:00/8:00c and 10:00/9:00c, respectively. The former features "Gimme My Reality Show!" winner Gretchen Bonaduce while the latter showcases Sandra Hope and her company "Mate Check Private Investigations."

-- Showtime will roll out the seventh season of its long-running series "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!" on Thursday, June 25 at 10:00/9:00c.

-- VH1 will offer up the return of "Brooke Knows Best" on Sunday, June 7 at 10:00/9:00c after "Daisy of Love."

-- Discovery Networks has confirmed season two of Animal Planet's "Whale Wars" is set for Friday, June 5 at 9:00/8:00c while TLC's "Street Customs" returns on Thursday, May 14 at 10:00/9:00c following "American Chopper."

-- Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures" will kick off its sophomore run on Friday, June 5 at 9:00/8:00c.

-- And finally, History's "Ice Road Truckers" will bow its new season on Sunday, May 31 at 9:00/8:00c.
