ABC to Revisit "Motherhood" in June

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC is giving its short-lived comedy "In the Motherhood" an equally brief send-off on Friday nights beginning next month.

Networks sources have confirmed the remaining installments of the series will begin airing on Friday nights at 9:30/8:30c starting June 5. Repeats of "Samantha Who?" will lead into the series at 9:00/8:00c.

"Motherhood" lasted just four weeks on Thursday nights earlier this year, leaving three episodes still yet to air.

The news marks the latest summer burn off by the Alphabet. "Pushing Daisies" (May 30-June 13), "Eli Stone" (June 20-July 11) and "Dirty Sexy Money" (July 18-August 8) are also getting a similar swan song while "According to Jim" (May 26-June 2), "Surviving Suburbia" (May 27-July 1) and "The Unusuals" (May 27-June 17) will wrap their runs outside the traditional season.
