Oh Baby! Discovery Health's BABY WEEK Offers the Most Pregnancies, Births and Drama Anywhere on Television

- Discovery Health's Seventh Annual Programming Event Presents Baby Programming Nightly at 8 PM (ET/PT) from Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19 -

SILVER SPRING, Md., May 26 -- The stork drops by Discovery Health the third week of June to deliver the network's seventh annual BABY WEEK! From dangerous pregnancies, to surprise deliveries, to expectant mothers big and small -- this year's programming slate will captivate audiences with powerful, real-life stories sure to shock, amaze and warm the heart, including:

TWINS BY SURPRISE

LITTLE PARENTS, BIG PREGNANCY

DELIVER ME Season 3 Premiere

BIRTHS BEYOND BELIEF

OBESE AND PREGNANT

Airing each night at 8 PM (ET/PT) from Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19, BABY WEEK kicks off with the premiere of TWINS BY SURPRISE, an hour-long special recounting the amazing stories of four women who believed they were pregnant with one child -- but actually gave birth to two!

On Monday, June 15, at 8 PM (ET/PT), Discovery Health will debut the heartwarming story of Becky and Craig Hennon, a dwarf couple awaiting the birth of their first child, in LITTLE PARENTS, BIG PREGNANCY. For an average-sized mother, pregnancy can be a challenge -- but for a little person like Becky with pseudoachondroplasia dwarfism, she and her baby boy face many more obstacles. With a 75 percent chance of giving birth to a dwarf, the Hennons have chosen to not know their child's fate ahead of time -- nor will they know what kind of dwarfism he may have. Capturing their joys and fears, LITTLE PARENTS, BIG PREGNANCY follows the Hennons from Becky's third trimester through the birth of their son, offering an insightful look at how a dwarf couple handles the universal stress of making room for baby.

BABY WEEK also will feature the following all-new premiere programs:

-- BIRTHS BEYOND BELIEF NEW! Premieres Tuesday, June 16, at 8 PM (ET/PT)

When it comes to childbirth, not all couples choose to deliver in a hospital. BIRTHS BEYOND BELIEF introduces viewers to three mothers with unique, unconventional birthing plans. From the exotic to the extraordinary, these empowered parents will stop at nothing to pursue their dream births.

-- DELIVER ME NEW Season! Season 3 Premieres During BABY WEEK on Tuesday, June 16, at 10 PM (ET/PT)

The balance between work and family is never easy, but when you are an OB/GYN dealing with high-risk pregnancies, every day is unique. Meet doctors Alane Park, Yvonne Bohn and Allison Hill -- friends, mothers and partners in a busy OB/GYN practice. Viewers will have a front-row seat for all the drama, emotion and challenges -- both professional and personal -- the doctors confront every day.

-- OBESE AND PREGNANT NEW! Premieres Wednesday, June 17, at 8 PM (ET/PT)

OBESE AND PREGNANT introduces the stories of three expectant mothers experiencing the joy and fear of carrying a child -- while also carrying more than 100 extra pounds.

Due to popular demand, Discovery Health also will offer encore presentations of its "best of baby" programming -- shows that never cease to amaze and get people buzzing:

-- FREEBIRTHING Airs Thursday, June 18, at 8 PM (ET/PT)

FREEBIRTHING chronicles the growing movement of women in the United States and the U.K. who are defying medical advice to give birth with no drugs, no midwife and no medical support. Supporters claim this is how having a baby was always meant to be -- but doctors say "freebirthing" has terrible risks.

-- DOUBLE IDENTICAL TWINS: FOUR YEARS LATER Airs Friday, June 19, at 8 PM (ET/PT)

Updating the original special DOUBLE IDENTICAL TWINS, Discovery Health follows the latest adventures of the Morris family, who grew from three members to seven after the birth of an extremely rare set of quads: two identical boys and two identical girls. DOUBLE IDENTICAL TWINS: FOUR YEARS LATER examines how this amazing family navigates medical and life challenges, and manages to brave it all with a sense of humor.

Online at DiscoveryHealth.com, visitors will have access to vital information on pregnancy, babies and the postpartum period through an array of resources, including relevant articles, tip sheets and expert-driven guides. In addition, visitors can discuss pregnancy and parenting in community support forums. The refreshed site will also feature interactive quizzes, fun games and exclusive video content.
