Eight New One-Hour Episodes Chronicle Real People Who Faced Death And Lived To Tell About It

NEW YORK, NY, July 2, 2009 � Season three of BIO's most-watched original series "I Survived..." premieres on Sunday, July 12 at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT/10 PM PT. The one-hour series features eight new episodes exploring first person accounts of extraordinary true-life tales of those who found the strength and courage to endure when faced with unforeseen, life-threatening situations.

Each episode of "I Survived..." documents two or three life-altering stories in which survivors explain � in their own words � how they overcame unbelievable circumstances and what carried them through the experience that ultimately changed their lives forever.

The astonishing true stories will keep viewers on the edge of their seat. Season three stories include: A young woman and her family at a baseball game for the fourth of July who unwittingly become part of a freak escalator malfunction at the stadium that leaves them tangled in a mass of injured bodies; an oil well worker who steps over an exposed mechanical shaft that sucks in his leg and he must make the terrible decision to amputate his own leg in order to live; a bar owner who is left with less than a two percent chance of survival after he is savagely attacked as part of a gang initiation; and three survivors from one of America's worst aviation disasters.
