ABC.COM TAKES FANS BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE 2009 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Three Original Short-Form Series Featuring Jake Owen, Luke Bryan and the Legendary Wynonna Judd Roll Out Online in August to Support ABC Primetime Special, "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock"

Leading up to the premiere of ABC's primetime special "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock," ABC.com will roll out three new, original short-form series giving country music fans a special behind-the-scenes look at the CMA Music Festival held June 11-14 in Nashville.

"Nashville Nights with Jake Owen" --- Beginning today, this five-part online series lets fans check out all the hot spots in "Nashville Nights with Jake Owen" and get an inside look at what happens after the sun goes down during the CMA Music Festival! RCA Nashville recording artist Jake Owen shows off his wakeboarding skills, plays a special concert with friends -- Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan and, for his first time, takes the main stage at LP Field with his band.

"Around Town with Luke Bryan" -- Premiering on ABC.com on Thursday, August 13, this five-part online series goes behind the scenes to allow fans the opportunity to experience all the excitement around Music City USA during the CMA Music Festival. Hosted by Capitol Nashville recording artist Luke Bryan with field reporting from former Miss Tennessee Ashley Eicher, the series features interviews with such popular artists as Trace Adkins, Martina McBride and Julianne Hough, as well as a VIP tour of many of the Festival's special events.

"I'm With Wy" -- Launching on Thursday, August 20, this four-part series follows the adventure of one lucky fan, Lisa Graystone of Morro Bay, CA, who had the opportunity of a lifetime... hanging out with legendary, nine-time CMA Award winner Wynonna Judd for the week of the CMA Music Festival. The online series documents Wynonna's antics in front of the cameras and behind -- with unprecedented fan access -- as she holds a video chat for her fans, interviews with Larry King, signs autographs, mingles with other artists like Darius Rucker, and takes to the main stage with her mother, Naomi Judd, for a rare Judds performance.

High voltage stage performances by chart-topping superstars, along with revealing special segments about fan favorites, will mark the return of ABC's hottest music event this summer when "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" airs MONDAY, AUGUST 31 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Scheduled to perform on the annual music bash, expanding to three hours for the first time, are Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley,Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Julianne Hough, Jamey Johnson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Jake Owen, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, John Rich, Darius Rucker, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Zac Brown Band and others. In addition, Kid Rock performs his smash hit "Picture" with special surprise guest Martina McBride, and The Judds reunite and perform together for the first time at the CMA Music Festival in six years.

The annual CMA Music Festival is unlike any other, with four days filled with more than 100 hours of live music, 30 hours of autograph signings by Country Music's biggest names and up and comers, hundreds of artists and celebrities, and a party list of thousands of avid fans. This is the fifth time ABC will broadcast this special which invites the whole country to America's biggest Country Music bash since the original Fan Fair was launched in 1972. This year an average of 56,000 fans attended each day of CMA Music Festival, its biggest turnout yet.

"CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" is executive-produced by Robert Deaton and directed by Gary Halvorson. The 2009 CMA Music Festival is organized and produced by the Country Music Association. "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" will be shot in high definition and broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound.
