THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE (The CW) - Gal Gadot ("Fast & Furious") has scored a recurring role on the upcoming soap. She'll play Olivia, "a supermodel at the top of her game," on the series, which launches Wednesday, September 16 at 9:00/8:00c.

SAVAGE LOVE (HBO, New!) - "Real Time With Bill Maher" mainstay Dan Savage is filming a pilot for a new talk show at the pay channel. "A few Sloggers - and my boyfriend - are wondering why I've been in LA all month," the columnist wrote in his blog. "I'm down here working on what's called "a non-airing presentation pilot for HBO." Or... "Savage Love," the (potential) TV show. According to a draft of press release that's sitting on my desk here at HBOin my own office! with a lock on the door! I could be naked in here!"Savage Love," the (potential) teevee show, "will focus on current events and cultural trends with sex as the filter." I'm hoping to bring a new kind of conversation to TV about sexan honest conversation, one that's informed without being (too) wonky, funny without being (too) cruel, sexy without being (too) cheesy. Basically, my sex-advice columnbut on the teevee!" Said taping is slated for Thursday, August 27.
SCRUBS (ABC) - Michael Mosley ("Kings") and Kerry Bishe ("Virtuality") are the latest additions to the show's revamped ninth season. The former will play Drew, "a scruffy and attractive thirysomething med student, who is getting his second shot at medical school after a major meltdown 10 years ago when he was a top candidate at Harvard Medical School." Bishe then is set as Lucy, "a 22-year-old first-year med student who is an attractive all-American girl and the first in her close-knit family of commercial fishermen to go to college." The pair join Dave Franco who was also cast as a regular earlier this week.
UGLY BETTY (ABC) - Emmy-winner Kristen Johnston is set to recur on the show's upcoming fourth season. Her character, Helen, who turns up in the second half of the season premiere, is described as "Amanda in 10 years... she's still trying to get into the right clubs, wearing tight dresses... tragic." Entertainment Weekly reports ex-"American Idol" judge Paula Abdul had been in talks to play said role however a deal could not be closed.
