When United States Senator, vocal liberal and member of American royalty, Ted Kennedy lost his battle with brain cancer on Tuesday evening at the age of 77, the world said goodbye to a passionate leader and a dear friend. In 2008 he lent his endorsement to then-Senator Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination and under the Obama administration, Kennedy continued to work towards his major legislative goal for universal healthcare.
