Syfy Announces Product Integration Partnership with OrbitZ.com for Season Three of Destination Truth, Hosted by Josh Gates

SYFY ANNOUNCES PRODUCT INTEGRATION PARTNERSHIP WITH ORBITZ.COM FOR SEASON THREE OF DESTINATION TRUTH, HOSTED BY JOSH GATES

Series Returns Wednesday, September 9, at 10PM (ET/PT)

New York, NY � September 2, 2009 � Continuing the growing appeal of its imagination-based content to advertisers, Syfy today announced a partnership with Orbitz.com for the third season of the popular program Destination Truth, hosted by Josh Gates. The series takes viewers on off-the-map adventures in search of the answers to some of the world�s most intriguing unexplained mysteries.

Returning Wednesday, September 9, at 10PM (ET/PT), world traveler and intrepid explorer Gates will travel to some of the most extreme locations on earth, including the isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan in search of the Yeti and a paranormal journey (�Ghosts of Chernobyl�) into the heart of the world's worst nuclear accident at Chernobyl. Viewers will also ride along on unprecedented investigations, including the world's first overnight exploration of King Tut's cursed tomb and pitch-black dives in ancient Caribbean caves.

In its second season, Destination Truth averaged 1.6 million total viewers, 943,000 Adults 18-49 and 992,000 Adults 25-54.

As part of the partnership, Orbitz.com will receive 18 exposures over the course of the nine-episode season, centering around the program�s key segment where Josh introduces each week�s destination. As the reservation is made on the computer, Gates says, "We searched our flights at Orbitz.com� In addition, Orbitz.com will also receive end credit.

A graduate of Boston's renowned Tufts University, Josh Gates holds degrees in archaeology and drama, and was recently inducted into The Explorers Club, a prestigious global organization dedicated to the advancement of exploration and field research. An avid scuba diver, he has participated in sub-sea archaeological excavations in the Mediterranean, and his work as a photographer has taken him from sweltering African villages to the icy heights of the Himalayas. In addition, he has scaled "the roof of Africa" on Mt. Kilimanjaro, climbed Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas, and set foot in more than 75 countries around the world.
