TBS Sends Mr. October Reggie Jackson to bat as host of a new interview series entitled "The Pride of October" featuring other MLB Postseason Legends

Series to debut on Inside MLB on TBS and TBS Hot Corner on MLB.com beginning Oct. 7th

TBS announced today that Major League Baseball (MLB) Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, nicknamed "Mr. October" for his clutch postseason hitting, will host a series of one-on-one interviews that will air throughout the network's exclusive television coverage of all four of MLB's Division Series and the National League Championship Series (NLCS). The series, entitled "The Pride of October", will debut on Wednesday, October 7, during TBS' pregame show MLB On Deck, with expanded versions of the exclusive interviews running as interstitials between games and online at TBS Hot Corner on MLB.com.

"The show is something that I've wanted to do for a long time to be able to communicate to the fan's the common thread that is ingrained in their DNA as special leaders," said Jackson, a 5-time World Series Champion. "What has come through to me, regardless of what walk of life they excel in, is the impact their upbringing has had on their character and ability to dominate when the lamp is turned on them."

The series will focus on the triumphant October performances by some of baseball's greatest players with Jackson, a 14-time MLB All-Star, sitting down with legends of the game in familiar surroundings. Upcoming guests include Bob Gibson (eight-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion) at his home in Omaha, Nebraska and Frank Robinson (12-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion) from Anaheim Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California. Future guests to be announced at a later date.
