LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Cartoon Network has set return dates for "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and "The Othersiders."
"Batman" will assume the Friday, 7:30/6:30c slot on October 16 while "The Othersiders" is due back on Wednesday, October 7 at 9:30/8:30c. The "CN Real" franchise will air as a 12-night event culminating in a one-hour special on Friday, October 30 at 9:00/8:00c. Additional first-run installments are set for (all at 9:30/8:30c unless specified): Friday, October 9; Monday, October 12 (one-hour starting at 9:00/8:00c); Wednesday, October 14; Friday, October 16; Wednesday, October 21; Friday, October 23; Monday, October 26; Tuesday, October 27; Wednesday, October 28; and Thursday, October 29.
Also on tap are newcomers "10 Count" and "Re:Evolution of Sports" launching tomorrow night at 9:00/8:00c and 9:30/8:30c, respectively. "Count" is billed as "a live-action sports countdown show" featuring "everything from surfing to mountain biking" and "highlights the biggest, fastest and raddest sports spots, moments and celebrities." "Sports" then is described as "an adrenaline-pumping, live-action documentary show chronicling the exploits of extreme sports enthusiasts."
They'll join the previously announced "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (Fridays at 8:00/7:00c) and "Ben 10: Alien Force" (Fridays at 8:30/7:30c) as well as Thursday entries "Chowder," "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack," "Total Drama Action" and "Stoked."
Meanwhile, Turner-sibling truTV has added "It Only Hurts When I Laugh" to its Thursday lineup beginning October 22 at 10:00/9:00c. The series, from Brad Lachman Productions, "gives viewers exclusive access to the 'funniest clips' of people in the craziest situations, zaniest stunts and dumbest moments caught on tape." It will presumably take over for "Speeders Fight Back," which wraps its three-week, six-episode second season the previous week.
