Spike TV to Shine a Light on Rock Legend Keith Richards

Iconic Rolling Stone Guitarist To Receive The Rock Immortal Award At "SCREAM 2009"

Harrison Ford, Kate Bosworth, Morgan Freeman And Christina Ricci Added To Talent Roster

"Uprising" By Global Superstars Muse Named Official Theme Song Of "SCREAM 2009"

The Two-Hour Event To Air In More Than 100 Countries Worldwide Premiering On Spike TV Tuesday, October 27 At 10 PM

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 -- Spike TV will honor the legendary rock icon Keith Richards with the "SCREAM 2009" Rock Immortal Award, it was announced today by Casey Patterson, svp, talent development and event production, Spike TV. The show tapes on Saturday, October 17 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and will premiere on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 (10:00 PM-Midnight, ET/PT). The two-hour event will air in more than 100 countries worldwide.

"Keith Richards is part rock god, part superhero and nobody had rocked as hard and lived to tell about it," said Patterson. "As his friend Johnny Depp once pointed out, Keith Richards was a beloved and feared pirate long before he ever played the part in any movie."

Spike TV will pay homage to the single coolest guitar legend on the planet with a SCREAM-worthy tribute from some of Richards' most die-hard fans. Richards, who in 2007 won "SCREAM's" Best Cameo Award for his role in "Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End," is unstoppable and he continues to successfully fight to keep the nervy, rebellious and wildly defiant spirit of Rock & Roll alive and well.

"Uprising" from Muse's critically acclaimed worldwide hit album "The Resistance," has been named the official theme song for "SCREAM 2009."

The talent roster continues to grow for this year's SCREAM. Harrison Ford, Kate Bosworth, Morgan Freeman and Christina Ricci have been added to the all-star line-up which includes the previously announced, fan favorites Taylor Lautner, the cast and creators of "True Blood" and Battlestar Galactica," Tobey Maguire, Stan Lee, Hugh Jackman, Quentin Tarantino, Jennifer Carpenter, Eliza Dushku, Jackie Earle Haley, Jaime King, Sam Raimi, Eli Roth, Liv Tyler, Karl Urban, Elijah Wood, Stan Lee, "The Big Bang Theory" cast including Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, cast members from "The Vampire Diaries" including Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, stars of the upcoming "Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant" featuring Josh Hutcherson, Chris Massoglia and John C. Reilly, "Drag Me To Hell" cast members Reggie Lee, David Paymer, Dileep Rao and Lorna Raver. Additional guest appearances will be announced shortly.
