COUGAR TOWN (ABC) - Production on the freshman comedy has been halted "in order for Courteney [Cox] to deal with a private family matter," according to a statement from the network. Filming had already been set to go on hiatus this week for the Thanksgiving holiday and will resume as planned next week.
FLASH FORWARD (ABC) - Filming has likewise been stopped on the new drama so the writers can "maintain the high quality of the show," said the Alphabet. It's understood production was already ahead of schedule, meaning the six-day break won't affect filming. Shooting is expected to resume next week with episode 13.
PSYCH (USA) - The cable channel has ordered a fifth season of the veteran dramedy. The 16-episode order is as usual expected to be split into two pods: summer 2010 and winter 2011. The second half of the show's fourth season resumes in January. Said run marks the first time the series will air without "Monk" as its lead-in.
UNTITLED ERIN CRESSIDA WILSON PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Feature writer Erin Cressida Wilson ("Secretary") is set to team with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Films for a potential new drama series at the pay channel. Said hour will revolve around "a woman who leaves her seemingly perfect marriage and children in Santa Monica for the underbelly of L.A., where she indulges her secret fantasies and desires." Wilson and Winfrey then will executive produce alongside Harpo Films president Kate Forte.
