A&E'S HIT REAL-LIFE ORIGINAL SERIES "DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER" RETURNS FOR A BRAND NEW SEASON
SEASON 6 PREMIERE MARKS THE 150TH EPISODE OF ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FRANSCHISES ON TELEVISION
PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2 AT 9PM ET/PT
New York, NY November 24, 2009 "Dog the Bounty Hunter", A&E's hit Real-Life series, is returning with a brand new season beginning Wednesday, December 2 at 9PM ET/PT with a special one-hour premiere - marking the 150th episode of one of the most successful franchises on television. Viewers are in for a wild ride as the world's most famous bounty hunter, Duane "Dog" Chapman, comes back with more action-packed adrenaline fueled hunts from Hawaii to Colorado, tracking down fugitives along side his wife Beth and fearless family-based posse.
In the season premiere, Dog's target seems to have a taste for drugs and a record of reckless driving. However, this hunt has deeper emotional resonance for the team than usual. It's the anniversary of Dog's daughter Barbara Katie's fatal car accident. As the hunt goes deep into the night, the team is hit hard with Barbara Katie's memory as a speeding SUV driven by the fugitive roars by and Dog worries the same fate may await the man behind the wheel or even worse - an innocent bystander.
In its fifth season, "Dog the Bounty Hunter" averaged two million viewers per premiere episode.
"Dog the Bounty Hunter" is produced by Hybrid Films for A&E Network. Rick Smigelski is the Supervising Producer. David Houts and Daniel Elias serve as the executive producers for Hybrid Films. Robert Sharenow and Colleen Conway serve as the A&E executive producers.
