PRISON BREAK (FOX) - Executive producer Brett Ratner has inked a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact calls for his Rat TV banner to develop new series projects for the studio. Martha Haight is supervising said roster, which includes CBS's "Chaos," from Tom Spezialy ("Reaper"), described as "a satirical look at the world of the CIA"; FOX's "The Devil and Daniel Webster," from William Blake Herron ("Role Models"), which is billed as "a fresh take on the Stephen Vincent Benet short story and Faust tale"; and TNT's "The Dead Beat," from Sean Jablonski ("Nip/Tuck"), a buddy cop drama.
RONNA & BEVERLY (Showtime) - Jessica Chaffin and Jamie Denbo's passed-over pilot is getting a quiet showcase on the pay channel. The half-hour pilot is set to run tonight on Showtime at 12:05 AM ET with an encore on Tuesday, December 29 at the same time on Showtime 2. "Ronna & Beverly" revolves around "longtime friends who write a dating guide for Jewish singles, 'You'll Do a Little Better Next Time,' and are relentless about finding ways to promote their tome." Paul Feig directed the Lionsgate-based pilot from a script by Chaffin, Denbo and Jenji Kohan.
