GENERATION Y (ABC, New!) - "The Unusuals" creator Noah Hawley is back in business with the Alphabet, this time for a new drama about "a group of people in the present with flashbacks to 10 years ago when they were in their senior year of high school." ABC has given a pilot order to the docu-style project, which is based on the Scandinavian series "God's Highway." Hawley penned the ABC Studios-based hour and is executive producing alongside Warren Littlefield as well as Henrik Bastin, Peter Magnasson and Martin Piersson of Stockholm-Copenhagen Productions.

STRANGE BREW (FOX, New!) - "Will & Grace" co-creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick have booked a new multi-camera comedy pilot at the network. The Warner Bros. UNDERCOVERS (NBC) - Carter MacIntyre ("American Heiress") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Steven (Boris Kodjoe) and Samantha (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), "a husband and wife who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of retirement." He'll play "a CIA agent with a drinking problem who goes "missing" while trailing a Russian arms dealer." Gerald McRaney, Jessica Parker Kennedy and Ben Schwartz also star in the hour, which comes from Warner Bros. Television and co-creators J.J. Abrams and Josh Reims.

THE WHOLE TRUTH (ABC) - Tom Donaghy's drama script has received the go ahead to produce a pilot. The legal drama is "focused on showing evenly both the defense and the prosecution as they build and try a case." Warner Bros. Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television is behind the hour, which Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are executive producing. Donaghy and KristieAnne Reed then will serve as co-executive producers.
