MTV to "Turn the Beat Around" in February

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- MTV will continue its push into original movies with the premiere of "Turn the Beat Around" next month.
Romina D'Ugo, Adam Taylor Brooks and David Giuntoli star in the Bradley Walsh-helmed project, about "an ambitious young dancer convinces a wealthy financer to open a disco-themed LA nightclub, only to find her dreams of success threatened by her jealous boyfriend and her scheming nemesis."
The film will bow Friday, February 26 at 10:00/9:00c.
"Around" was one of several films announced last summer by the network as part of a new strategy to roll out one new original per quarter.
