ABC Hopes Specials Give March a Boost

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC hasn't had enough of the Oscars, "The Bachelor" or fame in general.
The Alphabet has slated three new specials for next month on said subjects beginning with "Before They Were Famous," a special edition of "20/20" on Tuesday, March 2 at 10:00/9:00c. Said hour will fill in for "The Forgotten" on the night, pushing the season finale of the freshman drama to Tuesday, March 23 at 10:00/9:00c.
Next up is "The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special" on Wednesday, March 3 at 10:00/9:00c. The one-hour offering will pre-empt "Ugly Betty," ultimately bumping its series finale to Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00/9:00c.
And finally, ABC will bridge the gap between "The Bachelor" and "Dancing With the Stars" cycles with even more of the former series. "Inside The Bachelor: The Stories Behind the Rose," another "20/20" special will fill the two-hour block on Monday, March 15 at 8:00/7:00c.
As previously announced, "The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding" is set for Monday, March 8 while "The Bachelor" itself wraps its 14th season with a three-hour event on Monday, March 1. "Dancing" returns on Monday, March 22.
