BURN NOTICE (USA) - Executive producer Mikkel Bondesen has inked a new two-year overall deal with Fox Television Studios. The pact will keep his Fuse Entertainment banner based at the studio where he, alongside development chief Kristen Campo, will develop new series projects. Already in the works is the upcoming FOX drama "The Good Guys" and the AMC pilot "The Killing."
JUSTIFIED (FX) - Walton Goggins has been upped to series regular for the show's recently ordered second season. He'll continue on as Boyd Crowder, the childhood friend turned nemesis of Timothy Olyphant's Raylan Givens. "He's amazing, and he's just a great guy," showrunner Graham Yost told The Hollywood Reporter. "There had to be charm in 'Boyd.' We knew with 'Boyd,' going in, that who we cast was critical for the success of the pilot, therefore getting it to become a series. So Goggins' casting was really instrumental. Without him, we wouldn't be on the air."
TAXI 22 (HBO, New!) - "The Sopranos" alum James Gandolfini is developing a potential new vehicle at the pay channel about a politically incorrect cab driver in New York City. The half-hour project is based on the French Canadian series "Taxi 22" with Dave Flebotte attached to write and executive produce. Gandolfini (via his Attaboy Films), Nancy Sanders, Mark Armstrong, Dennis Erdman, Clark Peterson, Huard Flamand and Francois Flamand are likewise attached to executive produce with Robert Horn serving as a consultant.
WEEDS (Showtime) - Elizabeth Perkins is departing the veteran comedy after five seasons. The actress, who was nominated for three Emmys and two Golden Globes on the series, plans to focus on her feature work - which includes Universal's upcoming live-action/CG-animated hybrid comedy "I Hop" - as well as develop her own television vehicle, however no specifics were given.
