FOX Closes in on Another Season Win

FOX CLOSES IN ON ANOTHER SEASON WIN

AMERICAN IDOL, GLEE, MLB BASEBALL and the season finale of HOUSE delivered homeruns for FOX last week. FOX once again had the No. 1 and No. 2 programs of the week among Adults 18-49 and dominated among Teens with the top 5 shows of the week in that demo. Season to date, FOX continues to hold a double-digit lead over the next highest rated network and is outperforming the No. 3 and No. 4 networks by +33%.

FOX won Monday night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens with the season finale of HOUSE and the penultimate episode of '24.'

· The season finale of HOUSE posted a 4.3/12 among Adults 18-49, up from the previous week by an impressive +19% among Adults 18-49, +18% among Adults 18-34, +58% in Teens and +17% in Total Viewers.

· HOUSE was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34 and won its hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-34 and all key male demos.

· At 9p, '24' posted a 2.9/8 - its highest adult demo rating in over three months - and grew versus the previous week by +7% among Adults 18-49 and +5% in Total Viewers.

On Tuesday, FOX once again delivered the No. 1 and No. 2 programs of the night with AMERICAN IDOL and GLEE, winning the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos.

· The Top 3 finalists on AMERICAN IDOL posted a 6.7/19 among Adults 18-49, in line with the previous week.

· AMERICAN IDOL dominated its 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos, showing advantages over its nearest competitors of +103% among Adults 18-49, +113% among Adults 18-34, +119% among Teens and +17% in Total Viewers.

· GLEE at 9p posted a 4.8/12 among Adults 18-49 and delivered the same ratings it posted the previous week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

· GLEE won the 9p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54, Teens and all key female demos. In fact, it was the highest rated program of the night among Teens (tied with American Idol.).

· So far this spring GLEE has outperformed its prior season originals average (Wed 9p) by +55% among Adults 18-49, +42% among Adults 18-34, +58% among Teens and +68% among Total Viewers.

The AMERICAN IDOL Final Three results show on Wednesday posted a 6.1/17 among Adults 18-49 and won the 9p hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens.

· AMERICAN IDOL's Tue/Wed average this week outperformed ABC's Dancing With The Stars Mon/Tue average by +83% among Adults 18-49 and +13% in Total Viewers.

· So far this season (Most Current ratings vs, comparable Most Current last year), AMERICAN IDOL is showing 91% retention among Adults 18-49, 91% among Adults 18-34, 92% among Teens and 92% in Total Viewers.

On Thursday, the season finales of BONES and FRINGE delivered solid performances for FOX.

· The season finale of BONES at 8p posted a 2.8/10 among Adults 18-49, gaining +8% versus the previous week and up +8% compared to its finale last year.

· At 9p the season finale of FRINGE posted a 2.0/6 among Adults 18-49.

Saturday's MLB BASEBALL led FOX to a nightly win among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and all key male demos, while Sunday's Animation Domination finales gave FOX a first place finish among Teens.

Compared to the same weeks of the 08/09 season (9/22/08-5/17/09), FOX is even among Adults 18-49 (3.6/10 vs. 3.6/10) and up +1% among Total Viewers (9.9 vs. 9.8 Mil). Among Adults 18-49: CBS and The CW are even and ABC (-7%) and NBC (-4%) are down.
