TRAVEL CHANNEL CELEBRATES THE 100TH EPISODE OF ITS EMMY-WINNING NO RESERVATIONS SERIES WITH A RETURN TO PARIS -- AND A ONE-HOUR "WHAT WERE WE THINKING?" SPECIAL

(Chevy Chase, MD) - On Monday, Sept. 6th, Travel Channel will feature an all-day programming event celebrating the 100th episode of ANTHONY BOURDAIN NO RESERVATIONS. The event features a full-day of the series' most popular episodes, and culminates at 9PM ET with a one-hour "What Were We Thinking?" special. The special is followed by the 10PM ET premiere episode of NO RESERVATIONS from Paris, where the series began in July 2005.

The one-hour "What Were We Thinking?" special offers an after-hours look into the past five years of filming NO RESERVATIONS - a world of comical indecision and dysfunction, mixed with heartwarming stories, breathtaking backdropsand of course, plenty of local libations. Filmed with Bourdain and executive producers, Chris Collins and Lydia Tenaglia, "What Were We Thinking?" takes a light-hearted look back at 100 memorable adventures. Over the course of the day renowned chefs and celebrity fans of the show including David Chang, Eric Ripert, Ted Nugent, Marky Ramone, and Ty Burell will be providing special messages.

The "What Were We Thinking?" special also provides factoid-loving viewers "snackable stats" on everything from miles traveled to beers consumed on camera. Cinema buffs will regale as the crew discusses how the series has unabashedly "borrowed" themes from many of Bourdain's favorite movies including: Bullitt (San Francisco); The Shining (Iceland and Hudson Valley); and the original Get Carter (United Kingdom).

At 10PM ET, NO RESERVATIONS celebrates its 100th episode with a return to Paris. For his encore visit, Bourdain brings along special guest Eric Ripert for an unmatched culinary tour of the City of Lights. During his return, Bourdain indulges on some of the best of what Paris has to offer. Stops include: dinner at the ultra-exclusive "Le tete dans les olives"; a visit to Le Chateubriand for an innovative take on the classic French bistro; a stroll down Rue Mouffetard to sample offerings from one of Paris's oldest and liveliest neighborhoods; to an unforgettable visit to L'Atelier, a renowned Paris location for foodies and gourmets the world over.

Together, Bourdain and Ripert cover all things Paris - from classic cuisine, to the bold new dishes that are reinventing French gastronomy, and the innovative chefs that are leading the charge. And of course, there's plenty of wine.

ANTHONY BOURDAIN NO RESERVATIONS is produced by Zero Point Zero for the Travel Channel. For Zero Point Zero the executive producers are Chris Collins and Lydia Tenaglia. The executive producer for Travel Channel is Fred Graver.
