On Monday, August 30 at 9pm ET/PT, TLC will air the new one-hour KATE PLUS EIGHT special "The Big Apple" where Kate and the kids are traveling to NY - by train! The Gosselin family has visited New York City before, but never like this. The family experiences new and exciting things throughout the city, from Chinatown to Times Square. And while Kate has planned many educational opportunities for them, the kids are most excited about their visit to the Statue of Liberty. But, will Kate be able to enjoy a trip with her kids or will the record breaking summer heat and the pressures of traveling in a big city with eight kids cause Kate to lose her cool?
