TNT to Shine Spotlight on Bones with Labor Day Marathon, Plus Two Weeks of Episodes Showcasing the Lead Characters' Romantic Chemistry

TNT will present an eight-hour Labor Day marathon of the hit series Bones, followed by two weeks of episodes that highlight the romantic chemistry between the two lead characters, played by Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. Bones, which joined TNT's lineup in January 2008, has steadily grown its audience. For the year-to-date, Bones is averaging 1.9 million viewers on TNT, up 17% over last year. Deliveries of adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 are also up compared to 2009.

TNT's Labor Day Bones marathon will kick off Monday, Sept. 6, at noon (ET/PT). The slate of fan favorites scheduled for the marathon include "The Woman in the Car," "The Man in the Fallout Shelter," "A Boy in the Bush" and "The Man in the Morgue" from season one; "The Headless Witch in the Woods" from season two; "The Mummy in the Maze" from season three; and "The Hero in the Hold" and "Cinderella in the Cupboard" from season four.

The Bones Labor Day marathon will lead up to an encore of this season's "War Zone" episode of The Closer, followed by all-new episodes of both The Closer ("Last Woman Standing") and Rizzoli & Isles ("The Beast in Me").

Beginning Monday, Sept. 20, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 1, TNT will present "Kissing Booth," a collection of more than 20 episodes of Bones that showcase the romantic chemistry and flirtatious banter between the two lead characters. The "Kissing Booth" episodes will air in Bones' regular spot, Monday-Friday at 7 p.m. (ET/PT), as well as in various primetime spots throughout the weeks.

Bones stars Emily Deschanel as Dr. Temperance Brennan, a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute and writes novels as a sideline. When the standard methods of identifying a body are useless - when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that CSI gives up - law enforcement calls in Brennan for her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim's bones.

Most law enforcement are unable to handle Brennan's intelligence, her drive for the truth and the way she delves headlong into every investigation. But Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) of the FBI's Homicide Investigations Unit has learned to overlook Brennan's social awkwardness and embrace the insights she brings to every case. A former Army sniper, Booth mistrusts science and scientists - the "squints," as he calls them, who pore over the physical evidence - when it comes to solving crimes. But even he cannot deny that the combination of his people-smarts and Brennan's scientific acumen make them a formidable team.

Bones co-stars stars Michaela Conlin, Eric Millegan, TJ Thyne and Tamara Taylor. It comes to TNT from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. Bones is produced by Far Field Productions and Josephson Entertainment in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television. Hart Hanson, Barry Josephson and Stephen Nathan are executive producers.
