HGTV ORDERS 26 EPISODES OF SECRETS FROM A STYLIST

Newest HGTV Design Star Emily Henderson's Series to Premiere in 2011

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (For Immediate Release -- September 22, 2010) -- HGTV has green-lighted 26 episodes of Secrets From A Stylist, a new half-hour series featuring Emily Henderson, the season five winner of the hit reality competition HGTV Design Star. Henderson, 30, a prop stylist originally from Portland, Ore., starred in a one-hour special entitled Secrets From A Stylist at the end of August. Her new show, given the same name, will premiere in 2011.

In Secrets From A Stylist, Henderson will take a tailor-made approach to styling a room -- deconstructing her client's style layer by style layer with the goal of creating a truly personalized design for the space. She will begin each episode by conducting a "style diagnostic" to help uncover key details about her client including color and fashion preferences as well as favorite movies. Armed with this knowledge, she will pinpoint her client's true style, carefully fine-tuning each layer of the room design until the perfect look is achieved.

"While Emily started the HGTV Design Star competition as an underdog, our viewers loved her earnest approach and cheered for her as she became a more confident competitor." said Freddy James, senior vice president, program development and production, HGTV. In the end, her strength as a designer propelled her to win the competition and we anticipate that her new show will be well received."

Filmed in Los Angeles, Secrets From A Stylist will be produced by Tricon Films of Toronto.
