CartoonNetwork.com to Feature Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Footage Shot by Cast Members & 12 Free Scooby-Doo-Themed Games

New Adventure Re-Teams Original Cast & Crew From 2009 Record-Setting Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins

Cartoon Network is calling once again upon the world's greatest teenage super-sleuths and their Great Dane co-hort to help solve yet another spooky mystery in SCOOBY-DOO! CURSE OF THE LAKE MONSTER, premiering Saturday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) during Flicks, a weekend destination for family-targeted movies. An all-new, live-action/CG movie from Warner Premiere, the feature-length production serves as a follow-up to the 2009 record-setting Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins, the most-watched telecast in Cartoon Network history. SCOOBY-DOO! CURSE OF THE LAKE MONSTER features the familiar Mystery Inc. cast of characters - Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo - in their high school years as they continue to develop and sharpen their combined detective skills.

SCOOBY-DOO! CURSE OF THE LAKE MONSTER finds the Mystery Inc. gang heading toward summer jobs at a country club owned by Daphne's uncle, only to stumble onto strange happenings around the local lake - including mystical moonstones, creepy characters and a Frog Monster on the loose. There's mystery afoot and romance in the air that only the fearful foursome-plus-one - group leader Fred, lovely Daphne, brainiac Velma, soulful yet fun-loving Shaggy and the cowardly but ever-hungry Scooby-Doo - can solve.

CartoonNetwork.com, the digital arm of Cartoon Network, will help promote the upcoming original movie premiere by launching exclusive behind-the-scenes videos shot by the starring cast members themselves on Flip Cams while on set. Rolling out every week starting Sept. 13 and leading up to the Oct. 16 premiere, each video will give fans an insider look at the crazy stunts, hilarious stories and unpredictable moments of the filmmaking process. Additionally, CartoonNetwork.com will offer more than a dozen free online Scooby-Doo games, including two new featured games available for a limited time through a partnership with KidsWB.com. Offering a variety of challenges, including clue-gathering, narrow escapes and other mystery solving activities, the themed CartoonNetwork.com titles include Crystal Cove, Instamatic Monsters I and II, Bayou Scooby-Doo, Scooby Snapshot, Scooby Trap, Creepy Castle, Ask Swami Shaggy, Scooby vs. Ghosts of Pirate Beach and Attack of the Vampire Pumpkinheads.

Director Brian Levant (Snow Dogs, The Flintstones), producer Brian J. Gilbert (Wrong Turn) and writers Steven Altiere and Daniel Altiere (Dr. Dolittle: A Tinsel Town Tail, Gym Teacher: The Movie) return from their successful turns at the creative helm of Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins.

The Atlas Entertainment/ Nine/8 Entertainment /Telvan Productions production also has the live-action cast returning intact with Robbie Amell (True Jackson, VP) as Fred, Hayley Kiyoko (Unfabulous) as Velma, Kate Melton (Lucy: A Period Piece) as Daphne and Nick Palatas (Love) as Shaggy. Scooby-Doo will appear via computer-generated animation courtesy of Animation Picture Company, and is voiced by veteran artist Frank Welker, a member of the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! voice cast.

An animated creation from the legendary Hanna-Barbera studios, Scooby-Doo represents one of the longest running, most beloved franchises in cartoon history. Starting with Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, the awkward, snack-craving Great Dane and his four unique pals have been solving mysteries through 11 televisions series (the latest, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, now airing on Cartoon Network), 7 TV specials/telefilms, 15 made-for-video animated films (Scooby-Doo: Camp Scare, now available on DVD), and 2 live-action theatrical features (Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed).

Warner Home Video will distribute SCOOBY-DOO! CURSE OF THE LAKE MONSTER on DVD, Blu-Ray(TM) Combo Pack (BD + DVD + Digital Copy), OnDemand and For Download in spring 2011.
