NEW YORK - Sept. 28, 2010 - Nickelodeon nabbed its best third quarter performance ever with total viewers (P2+) in the network's history and scored its 62nd straight quarter as the top basic cable network with kids 2-11 and total viewers - the longest run of its kind. Nick also claims basic cable's top spot in total day with kids 2-11 and persons 2+ for 3Q10. According to Nielsen Media Research (6/28/10-9/26/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.3 million total viewers; a 3.5/1.2 million K2-11; a 3.4/733,000 K6-11; and 2.6/548,000 T9-14 for the quarter.

In 3Q10 Nickelodeon hit series iCarly scored with "iGot a Hot Room" (Friday, July 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT), which ranks as the quarter's most-watched telecast on broadcast and cable among K2-11 and K6-11 and delivered 9.1 million total viewers. Nick also scored with the premiere of Fred: The Movie (Saturday, September 18, 8 p.m. ET/PT), based on online sensation "Fred Figglehorn." The two-hour TV movie drew 7.6 million total viewers, ranked as basic cable's number-one entertainment telecast and was the top telecast for the week (9/13/10-9/19/10) with K2-11, K6-11 and T9-14 on all TV.
