"WHAT NOT TO WEAR" RETURNS WITH ALL NEW EPISODES ON TLC

SEASON 8 Premieres on Friday, October 29 at 9PM ET/PT

80's Star Mindy Cohn Featured in Premiere Episode

(New York, NY) -- TLC resident fashion experts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly are back with an all new season of WHAT NOT TO WEAR premiering on Friday, October 29 at 9PM ET/PT. The network has ordered 26 episodes, with the first 13 airing through to January 2011 and the back 13 premiering in spring 2011. In the season opener, Stacy and Clinton tackle the challenge of making over 80's child star Mindy Cohn. Best known for her role as Natalie in the hit show "Facts of Life," Mindy is now 44 years old and struggling to balance her private and public persona while hiding in a frumpy wardrobe filled with oversized shapeless frocks. With her career back on the rise with a new movie, Stacy and Clinton offer her advice that will hopefully help her shine on the red carpet and in front of the paparazzi, and will keep her off Hollywood's worst dressed list.

Season 8 features a variety of fashionably challenged contributors, but only one actually prompts one of the WHAT NOT TO WEAR experts to walk off set after her defensive attitude pushes them over the edge. Other contributors this season include a hard working Naval officer and mother who thinks skintight cat suits and scandalous night life attire keep her youthful and sexy, an IT specialist who looks more like a skater chick/tomboy than a 44-year-old former model, and a flight attendant whose style is a blinding display of bling, glitter and dazzle which will end up being one of the biggest "make unders" in WHAT NOT TO WEAR history.

This season also continues to feature a number of women in serious need of fashion overhauls due to their ongoing struggles with self esteem and body image. From a wedding-obsessed florist who has lost 40 pounds and a country music magazine writer who uses sweatpants and sleepwear as a security blanket because of the five reconstructive surgeries she's had on her breasts, to an athletic trainer who keeps herself hidden in her bland and ill-fitting wardrobe after her recent weight gain, Stacy and Clinton help provide these women with the much needed makeovers they deserve.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR is produced by BBC Productions for TLC.
