'Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle,' Highest-Rated Hallmark Channel Original Movie 2009, Earns Honorable Mention; Doris Roberts' Sequel To Premiere November 27

The Hallmark Channel Original Movie "Christmas in Canaan" was named "Best Show or Series: Family Friendly" at the 3rd annual CableFAX Program Awards gala luncheon in NYC and the network announced that Billy Ray Cyrus has signed on to star in the sequel which will premiere in 2011. "Christmas in Canaan" was the second highest-rated Hallmark Channel Original Movie for 2009.

"Christmas in Canaan" stars Billy Ray Cyrus as Daniel Burton, a farmer in Canaan, TX, during the civil rights movement who forces his young son to spend time with his black classmate, leading to an unexpected friendship. As the years pass and racial tensions in their town build, an unforgettable Christmas will teach the boys the importance of hope and the true meaning of family.

CableFAX awarded an Honorable Mention to the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, "Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle" starring five-time Emmy(R) Award winner Doris Roberts as Mrs. Miracle, who brings her brand of magic to struggling single dad Seth Webster (James Van Der Beek) just in time for the Christmas. Doris Roberts and Debbie Macomber have partnered for a sequel to Hallmark Channel's highest-rated film of 2009. The Hallmark Channel Original Movie "Debbie Macomber's Call Me Mrs. Miracle" has its World Premiere, Saturday, November 27 (8 p.m. ET/PT, 7C).
