Diane Sawyer will anchor "A Special Edition of 20/20: Miracle at the Mine," airing tonight, Wednesday, October 13, 10:00 - 11:00 pm ET on ABC. The hour special will include the most up-to-date reporting from Bill Weir in Chile, as the Chilean miners ascend, one-by-one, to freedom from the underground chamber where they've been entombed for 10 long weeks. John Qui�ones will report on the 69 day ordeal, which is the longest time ever for a successful rescue; Jeffrey Kofman, who was one of the first American news correspondents on the scene in August, will report on how Chile was able to engineer the inconceivable rescue; and Dr. Richard Besser will provide insights into the immediate and future health and psychological concerns facing the 33 miners.
The network's coverage continues on a special edition of Nightline devoted to the Chilean mine recovery efforts with anchor Bill Weir reporting live from the scene in San Jose, Chile.
David Sloan and James Goldston are the executive producers.
