Exclusive: A&E to Wrap "Teach: Tony Danza" Early

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Tony Danza's tenure at Philadelphia's Northeast High School has been cut short by two weeks.

Effective tonight, A&E's "Teach: Tony Danza" will air back-to-back episodes beginning at 10:00/9:00c, bumping up its previously announced finale from November 12 to next Friday, October 29.

The seven-episode series opened to a modest 937,000 viewers (and a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49) on October 1, a number which has fallen to 606,000 viewers (and a 0.2 rating among adults 18-49) in its most recent airing.

Tony Danza, Leslie Greif and Adam Reed are the executive producers for Boutique Television with Robert Sharenow and Neil A. Cohen supervising the series for A&E.
