CANDICE OLSON IN PRODUCTION FOR NEW SERIES ON HGTV

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (For Immediate Release-October 25, 2010) - Designer Candice Olson has started production for a new HGTV series entitled Candice Tells All. In the new half-hour series Olson, host of the long-popular Divine Design and a judge on HGTV Design Star, will deliver awe-inspiring transformations that viewers have come to expect, but this time she will pull back the curtain to reveal how she creates her inspiring designs. In Candice Tells All, Olson will share underlying design principles that can be applied to any space to help uncover a home's true potential.

In 2003, Olson's television series, Divine Design with Candice Olson, made its United States debut on HGTV and quickly established itself as a forerunner in design and lifestyle television. The show, which has enjoyed a solid seven year run on HGTV, followed Olson and her cast mates as they teamed up to transform uninspired spaces into fresh, contemporary rooms. Viewers can expect her new series to take things a step further-showing Candice unplugged, but never unhinged, as she deconstructs the design process and highlights important design principles in a fun and irreverent way.

Olson is one of the most well-known and liked professional interior designers in North America. Her signature style, reflective of her warm and inviting personality, consists of creativity, practicality, and timelessness, and results in sophisticated, yet manageable designs.

Olson attended the University of Calgary where she simultaneously worked on her Bachelor of Science degree while traveling the world playing volleyball for the Canadian National Team. After attending the School of Interior Design at Ryerson University, Olson honed her skills for several years in many of Canada's top interior design firms before establishing her own residential and commercial design practice Candice Olson Design in 1994.
