Encore Renews "In the House," Hosted by Peter Bart and Peter Guber
The new season will roll out Thursday, December 9 on the cable channel.

Second Season of Half-Hour Interview Show Premieres December 9, 2010

Burbank, Calif., November 29, 2010 - "In the House," the half-hour news and interview show hosted by Peter Bart and Peter Guber, has been renewed for a second season by the Encore Channel and will have its premiere Thursday, December 9. The show, which provides a unique platform for intimate conversations with entertainment industry heavyweights, is the first original series on Encore. Its new season will be produced by RayV Productions with the support of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Stephan Shelanski, executive vice president of programming for Starz Entertainment, said that " 'In the House' provides behind-the-scenes insights on entertainment from Oscar(R), Emmy(R), and Golden Globe(R) winners and industry leaders who are consistently fascinating to those viewers wishing for an inside glimpse."

Guests on earlier shows included Carey Mulligan, Jeremy Renner, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Ethan Hawke, Quentin Tarantino, Morgan Freeman, Harrison Ford, Jeff Bridges, Kathryn Bigelow, Betty White, Maria Bello, William H. Macy, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Helen Mirren, Kevin Spacey, John Malkovich and many others.

"Bart and Guber are industry stalwarts whose conversations and interviews dig beneath the typical spin and gossip," Shelanski said.

Peter Bart has been a Hollywood studio chief, editor and producer. He worked as a staff reporter for the New York Times and Wall Street Journal prior to entering the film business. As vice president of production at Paramount, senior vp at MGM/UA and President of Lorimar Films, he helped foster such films as The Godfather, Harold and Maude, Rosemary's Baby and Being There. He also has published eight books. He served for 20 years as editor in chief of Variety, where he is presently editorial director.

Peter Guber was formerly the studio chief at Columbia Pictures and chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures. He is now chairman of Mandalay Entertainment, which he founded in 1995. The films he has produced include Midnight Express, The Color Purple, Rain Man, and Batman, among many others, have reportedly earned more than $3 billion in worldwide revenue. He recently became co-owner of the NBA's Golden State Warriors. His new book, "Tell To Win," about the importance of purposeful storytelling, comes out via Crown on March 1, 2011.

Executive producer of the show is Susan Winston, whose credits include "Good Morning America" and the "CBS Morning News." Steven Lenchner is the executive in charge of production. He previously worked on "Criss Angel Mindfreak." The talent executive is Kari Johnson, who has worked on such shows as "Storymakers" and "Shootout."

UK-based 3DD Productions is handling international sales and distribution of "In the House." The show's return in early December means it will begin to air just in time for the start of the Hollywood awards season. The deal was brokered by Larry Aidem, President & CEO of RayV Content LLC.
