TLC AIRS ALL-NEW DOCUMENTARY "WILLIAM, KATE AND 8 ROYAL WEDDINGS" ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 9 AT 10 PM ET/PT
While the world awaits the much anticipated Royal nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton, TLC continues to bring viewers all the details they need to prepare for the iconic event. On Sunday, January 9 at 10 PM ET/PT, TLC will air WILLIAM, KATE, AND 8 ROYAL WEDDINGS, a brand new one-hour documentary that reveals the glamour and spectacle of the last eight Royal weddings. With behind-the-scenes anecdotes, interviews with the Royal wedding dress designers, memories from Royal bridesmaids, and stunning archive photos and footage, this documentary captures the beauty, pageantry, and even intimacy of all the Royal weddings since Queen Elizabeth married Prince Philip in 1947.
During this hour, expert commentators set the scene with observations on the social context and significance of some of the most high profile Royal weddings including those of Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and of course Prince of Wales to Lady Diana Spencer. The special also highlights the tragic funeral of Princess Diana that followed 18 years later.
Also featured are some of the best moments leading up to all the Royal weddings, including details surrounding the courtships, the engagement announcements, the wedding preparations, the ceremonies, the public parades and the very first moments they all shared as Royal husband and wife.
