MTV CONFIRMS SNOOKI BALL DROP MOVING FORWARD IN SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NEW JERSEY AS PART OF "NEW YEAR'S BASH 2011"

New Year's Eve Special Hosted By Comedian Whitney Cummings and Featuring Members of "Jersey Shore" Cast And A Performance By Flo Rida

New York, December 30, 2010 - MTV today issued the following statement confirming that the highly anticipated New Year's Eve Snooki ball drop, previously planned for the company's Times Square headquarters, will move forward in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

"We love our Times Square home and while we're disappointed there won't be a Snooki ball drop there, she cannot be denied! So we're taking a road trip to the place where it all began, Seaside Heights, and droppin' it all there."

"New Year's Bash 2011" debuts live on MTV and MTV2 from MTV's Times Square Studio on December 31 at 10:30pm ET (tape delay PT).

The Special will provide a comedic look back at 2010, as well as an extended sneak peek of the forthcoming season of Jersey Shore. Hosted by comedian and rising star Whitney Cummings, the special will feature appearances by members of the cast of "Jersey Shore," "Saturday Night Live's" Bobby Moynihan, comedian Nick Kroll, Internet sensation Keenan Cahill, "Pretty Little Liars" cast members Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell plus performances from hip-hop artist Flo Rida.
