NBC PICKS UP NEW COMPETITIVE ALTERNATIVE SERIES "STILL STANDING" (WORKING TITLE), WHICH OFFERS CONTESTANTS A CHANCE TO WIN IN FAST-PACED TRIVIA BATTLES

Series Based on Successful Israeli Concept of the Same Title

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 11, 2011 -NBC has picked up the new competitive alternative series "Still Standing" (working title in the U.S.), based on the hit Israeli series of the same title, which offers contestants the chance to win by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced and dramatic trivia battles.

The announcement was made today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

"This game show has proven its popularity overseas with its breakneck pace, physical humor and intense face-offs," said Telegdy. "U.S. audiences will surely enjoy its swift and wit-filled antics."

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said: "We are thrilled to partner with NBC to bring 'Still Standing' to an American audience. The spirit of the game complements NBC's successful game show legacy, and we have no doubt that 'Still Standing' will have a home on the network for many years."

NBC has committed to eight episodes of "Still Standing," which had its global premiere on Israel's Channel 10 in December 2010, and improved the channel's average ratings by more than 50 per cent in the time slot.

The game show is created and produced by July-August's Lisa Shiloach-Uzrad and Amit Stratener, and distributed internationally by Armoza Formats.

Production on the second season of "Still Standing" for Channel 10 is currently underway, with twice the number of episodes commissioned.

"Still Standing" is intensified by several unique elements designed to keep both contestants and viewers on their toes. At the start of the game, each player stands behind a coin whose value ranges between $1 and $50,000.

However, the value is hidden and won't be revealed until one of them loses and drops out of the game -- literally -- through the trapdoor in the studio floor on which he or she is standing.

In an intense test of nerves and knowledge -- knowing that the studio floor beneath them can disappear at any moment -- both challengers must battle for the coin's prize, which may only be $1.

"Still Standing" was packaged by Paradigm who also packaged the NBC hit game show "Minute To Win It."
