NEW YORK, March 14, 2011 -- BET's annual fashion extravaganza, RIP THE RUNWAY returns with a stellar group of designers showcasing their exquisite collections to some of the hottest names in music. A carnival of music and fashion, this year's RIP THE RUNWAY will feature collections from Rachel Roy, Tennille White, LaQuan Smith, Man vs. Machine, Lila Nikole, and Haitian designer WISB "Way It Should Be" Apparel, dynamic performances by musical heavyweights Wiz Khalifa, Keri Hilson, Fabolous, Lloyd, Melanie Fiona, Miguel and New Boyz, and special appearances by fashion icon Lady Gaga and style savant Kimora Lee Simmons. Hosted by sexy duo Selita Ebanks and Mehcad Brooks, RIP THE RUNWAY premieres Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10 p.m.*

BET has teamed with Cossette Productions, the famed producers of the GRAMMY(R) Awards and the record-setting BET AWARDS, to produce RIP THE RUNWAY. Stephen Hill, president of music programming and specials for BET Networks, along with Lynne Harris-Taylor, vice president of specials for BET Networks, will executive produce the telecast. RIP THE RUNWAY is celebrating its seventh year and its mission is to provide both men and women with the latest trends in fashion, swimwear, accessories and shoes.
