By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

GEORGETOWN (ABC) - Jennifer Johnson ("Chase") has been tapped to serve as the pilot's showrunner. Said hour, from Warner Bros. Television, revolves around a quartet of young staffers in Washington, D.C. - Sam (Daisy Betts), Nikki (Katie Cassidy), Peter (Joseph Mazzello) and Andrew (Jimmy Wolk) - who share a DuPont Circle townhouse together. She'll supervise creator Will Fetters and executive produce alongside Josh Schwartz, Leonard Goldstein and Stephanie Savage. Mark Piznarski is directing the project, which also stars Boris Kodjoe, Condola Rashad, Kevin Zegers, Tiya Sircar and Wendy Crewson.

MR. SUNSHINE (ABC) - Co-creators Alex Barnow and Marc Firek have inked their third consecutive overall deal with producer Sony Pictures Television. The new two-year pact covers their services on the freshman comedy should it continue for a second season as well as any future development. Barnow is also supervising the studio's untitled CBS pilot from Peter Knight.

PERSON OF INTEREST (CBS) - Greg Plageman ("Cold Case") has signed on as an executive producer of the drama pilot, about an ex-CIA agent (Jim Caviezel), presumed dead, who is recruited by a crazy billionaire (Michael Emerson) to help fight crime in New York City. Plageman, who consulted on the aforementioned "Chase" this past season, will serve as the project's showrunner should it move forward to series. "Person" was created by Jonah Nolan and executive produced by Bryan Burk and J.J. Abrams. David Semel is directing the pilot for Warner Bros. Television. Kevin Chapman and Taraji P. Henson also star.

UNTITLED MIRANDA LAMBERT PROJECT (ABC Family, New!) - Recording artist Miranda Lambert, a winner at last night's ACM awards, is developing a new semi-autobiographical drama at the cable channel about "a family in Texas whose parents are private investigators, with the children assisting in solving crimes." Scott Kaufer ("Memphis Beat") is penning the hour for Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment. The pair will also executive produce alongside "Nashville Star" alumnus Lambert, her mother Beverly and manager Marion Kraft.
