THE HUB TV NETWORK ADDS TRULY OUTRAGEOUS ANIMATED SERIES "JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS" TO PROGRAM LINEUP BEGINNING MAY 31

Acquired Series Kicks Off with Special "Jem and the Holograms" Marathon Presented on May 28; Network Also Acquires Animated Favorite "Conan the Adventurer"

LOS ANGELES - The Hub Television network, a destination for kids and their families, has acquired two popular animated hit series that build on the network's strategy of providing programming that kids and families can enjoy together. The iconic and beloved pop-culture series "Jem and the Holograms," which originally aired in the late 1980s, will join The Hub's schedule weekdays beginning Tuesday, May 31, at 7 p.m. ET (with encore performances throughout each day) and on Saturdays at 10 a.m. ET.

A special sneak peek of the first 6 episodes of "Jem and the Holograms" will be presented on Saturday, May 28, from 2-5 p.m. ET.

Additionally, fan-favorite, half-hour, animated series "Conan the Adventurer" will make its way on to the Hub's summer schedule, joining a diverse lineup of live-action and animated programs on The Hub, a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc., now available to 62 million U.S. cable and satellite households.

The series "Jem and the Holograms" ran from 1985-'88 in first-run syndication and still boasts a loyal and vocal fan base. It is frequently credited with influencing fashion in the late 1980s and beyond, and launching the careers of female pop-rock stars and music groups. The series follows Jerrica Benton, whose discovery of Synergy, a powerful computer companion, allows her to transform from co-owner of Starlight Music into rock star Jem. Teaming with her sister and best friends who form The Holograms, Jem sets out to make their musical dreams come true, even as she battles against the ruthless Eric Raymond and his musical protgs, The Misfits. The series was a joint collaboration of Hasbro Inc., Marvel Productions, as well as Sunbow Productions and was acquired from the Hasbro Studios library.

In addition, The Hub is adding to its lineup the animated action series "Conan the Adventurer" (to be presented weekdays beginning Tuesday, May 31 at 7:00 a.m. ET with encore presentations on Sundays at 6:00 a.m. ET). The series follows the mighty warrior's quest to undo the spell cast upon his family by driving his enemies back into another dimension, and vanquishing their leader, the cruel wizard, Wrath-Amon. The series originally ran from 1992-'94, and was produced by Jetlag Productions as well as Sunbow Productions and was acquired from the Hasbro Studios library.

THE HUB is a multi-platform joint venture between Discovery Communications (NASDAQ: DISCA, DISCB, DISCK) and Hasbro, Inc., (NASDAQ: HAS) with a goal of entertaining, enlightening, empowering and educating children and their families. The cable and satellite television network features original programming as well as content from Discovery's library of award-winning children's educational programming; from Hasbro's rich portfolio of entertainment and educational properties built during the past 90 years; and from leading third-party producers worldwide. The Hub lineup includes animated and live-action series, specials and game shows, and the network extends its content through a robust and engaging online presence, www.hubworld.com. The Hub rebranded from Discovery Kids on October 10, 2010, and reaches approximately 62 million U.S. households. The Hub logo and name are trademarks of Hub Television Networks, LLC.
