Disney Channel and Disney XD Announce Open Casting Call in Austin, Texas, June 4, 2011

Casting Directors Searching for Talented, Young Actors, Actresses, Singers and Dancers Ages 10-18 for Upcoming Series and Movies

Disney Channel and Disney XD today announced an open casting call in Austin, Texas, to give promising, new actors and actresses an opportunity of a lifetime to audition for casting representatives.

"We are pleased to play a part in cultivating young talent and helping them achieve their dreams," said Judy Taylor, Senior Vice President, Casting and Talent Relations. "With this official open casting call, our representatives are searching for a range of youthful talent with comedic acting ability and/or singing and dancing experience to showcase their skills for consideration in our upcoming series and movies."

The open casting call registration and auditions will be held on June 4, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Omni Hotel, 700 San Jacinto at 8th Street in downtown Austin, Texas. An application and a monologue will be provided upon arrival. The Omni Hotel offers self parking for $10.00 plus tax.

Talented kids who can play characters between the ages of 10-18 and who can act, dance or sing are invited to the open call. There is no fee to audition and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This official open call is among Disney Channel's and Disney XD's few annual casting searches in the United States. There are no guarantees of employment.
