INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY DELIVERS A SUMMER FULL OF GUILTY PLEASURES DESIGNED TO BEAT THE HEAT

(Silver Spring, MD) - This summer, chill out with the hottest network in television as Investigation Discovery launches five new sinfully sizzling series and returns five of its favorite staples. From June to August, ID's stacked schedule of "guilty pleasure" programming promises to make a splash with even the most sun-seeking beach goer. Viewers can peek into the dark side of wealth with society columnist Christopher Mason in BEHIND MANSION WALLS, learn more about the business of death with quirky crime scene cleaner Neal Smither in TRUE GRIME: CRIME SCENE CLEAN UP, and obsess over the larger-than-life personality of former heavyweight boxing champ Eric Esch, a.k.a. Butterbean, as he brings big-time justice to a small town in BIG LAW: DEPUTY BUTTERBEAN. And what would wedding season be without some marital mayhem? Unveiling July 13, I MARRIED A MOBSTER recounts headline-making mafia stories from the point of view of the Mrs. in this companion series to WHO THE (BLEEP) DID I MARRY?, which will make its season two debut the same night.

BEHIND MANSION WALLS tells the stories of crime, mystery, and murder that unfold behind the veil of wealth and privilege. Secret affairs, hidden accounts, and false identities are just the tip of the iceberg in a world clouded by money that could lead to murder. Hosted by society columnist Christopher Mason, this series uses expert testimony, stylized recreations, and narration from the victim's first-person perspective, escorting viewers behind picture perfect facades, where greed leads to murder and no one is above the law.

You see their lives portrayed in movies like Married to the Mob and Goodfellas, but rarely, if ever, do you hear them speak or get a glimpse into their lives. I Married a Mobster presents real stories of the mob from a new perspective: the women who had unprecedented access into this secretive world, where breaking vows could literally get you killed. Narrated by Tinseltown's leading mafia lady Lorraine Bracco, each episode uses reenactments, archival photos and interviews to tell the back-story of the rise and fall of mob families from the first person point-of-view of the Mrs.

TRUE GRIME: CRIME SCENE CLEAN UP

New Series Premieres Tuesday, July 19 at 10 PM

Television series often depict the lives of law enforcement, lawyers, and victims, but while they attempt to make sense of tragedy, who stays behind to remove the gruesome mess? TRUE GRIME introduces viewers to the strong-stomached team at Crime Scene Cleaners who do just that. Follow owner Neal Smither and his crew as they respond to calls in real time and try to erase the physical reminders of graphic events. From sports cars toting murder scenes to homes hiding unsanitary secrets, the team's "office" changes daily. It's the type of company you hope never to call, but if you do, you're glad it exists.

BIG LAW: DEPUTY BUTTERBEAN

New Series Premieres Tuesday, August 9 at 10 PM

At 416 pounds, Eric Esch, known to his fans as "Butterbean," hit the heavyweight boxing scene in the 1990s like a giant wrecking ball. But now, Butterbean is taking his tough guy reputation to the streets of his hometown: he's been deputized by the Walker County Sheriff's office, and he's on a one-man mission to bring back a sense of community safety... no matter how many butts he has to kick. With hundreds of calls to the station each weekend, Bean is put to the test by experienced law enforcement officers on everything from domestic disputes and narcotics raids to crowd control and drunk driving patrol. Viewers follow along as he goes through the necessary training for joining the police force, and follow him and his partner and best friend, Adam Hadder, as they patrol the streets of their hometown in Jasper, AL.
