Walmart and P&G Further Their Commitment for Quality Family Entertainment with the Debut of the Sixth Film in the Family Movie Night Initiative

CINCINNATI, June 6, 2011 -- Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) and Walmart (NYSE: WMT) will premiere their latest made-for-TV family movie, "Field of Vision," which explores the subject of bullying in schools and standing up for what's right. The movie stars Faith Ford, Tony Oller and Joe Adler and airs on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 8/7c on NBC.

Through mysterious footage captured on an old malfunctioning video camera, Sinclair High School's star quarterback, Tyler McFarland (Tony Oller, "Gigantic" and "As The Bell Rings"), learns that some of his teammates have been bullying Cory Walker (Joe Adler, "Prom"), a troubled new transfer student. Aware that sharing this information with the coach might get his friends kicked off the team and ultimately cost the school the state championship, Tyler must choose what's more important: winning or doing what's right.

As these events unfold, the camera also reveals more surprising footage to Tyler's kid sister Lucy (Alyssa Jordan Shafer, "The Unit"). She learns that Cory has a secret past, unknown even to him. Now Lucy must convince her mom (Faith Ford, "Murphy Brown") and family that the camera's revealing insight is not a product of her imagination as she enlists their help to find the answers Cory so desperately needs. "Field of Vision" is an uplifting movie that addresses bullying in schools and the importance of standing up in the face of adversity.

According to a recent Public Agenda survey, nearly three-quarters (74%) of Americans consider bullying harassment a serious problem in their local public schools and more than 45 percent of students admitted to having been bullied, teased or taunted at school, as noted by a Josephson Institute of Ethics survey.

"I was very excited to be part of this heartwarming movie and Family Movie Night, which examines the issue of bullying and shows the challenges and rewards of doing the right thing, even when it's tough to do," stated Faith Ford. "It's a great life lesson for kids of all ages and I hope it spurs good conversations between parents and their children on this important topic."

In addition, when research revealed parents across America are seeking more family-oriented entertainment options, the two companies made a commitment to be part of the solution through the Family Movie Night initiative. According to a recent Omnibus survey, 69 percent (69%) of moms said they wished there were more family-friendly TV programs that they can enjoy with their kids, and 75 percent (75%) of moms admitted to having to change the channel because the program they thought was family-friendly actually had adult content.

Launched in April 2010, the P&G and Walmart Family Movie Night initiative aims to produce more quality entertainment options families can enjoy together. The made-for-TV movies have been welcomed into homes across America 18 million times since "Secrets of the Mountain" first aired on April 16, 2010. Other movies in the franchise include "The Jensen Project," "A Walk in My Shoes," "Change of Plans," and most recently, "Truth Be Told."

Faith Ford, best known as Corky on the hit TV series "Murphy Brown," stars as Jody McFarland, high school guidance counselor and mom of the star quarterback, Tyler McFarland, who is played by Tony Oller from TeenNick's "Gigantic" and The Disney Channel's "As The Bell Rings." The role of Lucy McFarland is played by Alyssa Jordan Shafer from "The Unit" and dad, Kenny McFarland, is played by Phillip Casnoff, best known for his role as Chief of Staff Dr. Robert Jackson on Lifetime Television's "Strong Medicine." Joe Adler ("Prom") plays the part of a troubled new transfer student, Cory Walker.
