The Band Perry To Perform For The First Time on the CMT Mainstage

NASHVILLE - June 7, 2011 - Nashville is currently experiencing its hottest June on record, and it's no wonder as the 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS keeps getting hotter with the addition of hot country group The Band Perry to the performance line-up, with their first CMT MUSIC AWARDS mainstage performance. Country superstars Shania Twain and Taylor Swift join forces for the show open, recreating "Thelma & Louise" as only they can with appearances by Glee's Chord Overstreet, Ron White, Donald Trump, Kenny Rogers and host Kid Rock. Additional presenters on-hand at the 10th anniversary show include Martina McBride and Little Big Town, actress Cheryl Hines, Gary Busey of "Celebrity Apprentice" and Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon. The 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS premieres LIVE on Wednesday, June 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on CMT and CMT.com.

Hosted for a second year by Kid Rock, the 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS also includes performers Big & Rich, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Toby Keith and the Incognito Banditos and Zac Brown Band. Presenters include Shania Twain, Justin Bieber, "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina, Pittsburgh Steelers receiver and "Dancing With The Stars" winner Hines Ward, Sara Evans, Train, Kristin Chenoweth, stars of the CMT original movie "To The Mat" Laura Bell Bundy and Ricky Schroder, Green Bay Packers' Clay Matthews, actress Melissa Peterman and actress Mary Steenburgen.
