New Travel Game Show Offers Hope to Contestants in Financial Crisis

Hosted by NFL Linebacker Dhani Jones

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 14, 2011 -- VH1's newest, reality-competition series, "Ton of Cash," offers 14 contestants an immediate solution to their financial hardships - one million dollars in cash. The challenge? The contestants must carry one ton of cash from Los Angeles to Las Vegas without losing a single dollar. Watch as these contestants understand the true weight of financial woes with "Ton of Cash" premiering Wednesday, August 17th at 9/8c on VH1.

Dhani Jones, NFL linebacker, travel expert and author, hosts this game show-meets-travel expedition. Watch as Jones provides newer and more difficult challenges for this team across all terrains ranging from mountains, rivers to the Mojave Desert. In order to keep the full one million dollar prize, all contestants must work together and keep their clashing personalities in check across this 300 mile journey. Will the contestants see this prize as their burden and regret what they wished for?

Contestants from all financial backgrounds ranging from unemployed to excessive spending rediscover their inner-strength after years of financial instability. As the journey progresses some will change for the better; others will be consumed by greed. As they rush to the finish line, only one contestant will possess the strength, wit and perseverance to change their life of financial burden to financial freedom and earn the winning title.
